Another Inmate Dies at Harris County Jail; Investigation Underway
A 30-year-old inmate has died after suffering a medical emergency at the Harris County Jail, officials confirmed. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities say the incident is now under investigation by the Houston Police Department to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death. An autopsy will also be conducted to establish the official cause of death.
In addition, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division has launched a separate review to assess whether all required policies and procedures were properly followed during the incident.
